There’s a lot of competition now in the main categories, so if you search by typing your main keyword, you’ll see that there are about 40 to 50 thousand gigs, and in some of the larger categories you can see over a million gigs.
In this case, your competition is with sellers around the world with very professional sellers – eg: Fiverr’s Choice, PRO, Studio or Agency Team.
So New Seller, Level 1 and Level 2 Seller sellers have the option of making a few more gigs,
So we will use those options and we will create some low competition gig in our profile.
In this case you can go deeper inside your mother category by using some long tail keywords in addition to your main category.
Now what’s the long tail thing?
That is, there are some special niches in your category (small category). So you have a minimum of 4 to 8 words of keywords in those categories you’ll optimize for your gig.
In such a situation, if you give an example, then the matter will become a little clearer i.e. if you design a logo,
I always give the example of logo design because it is known to all.
* So you will use it to change your category.
For example, the basic keyword of my logo design is logo design,
Now if I want to go inside it can be CALLIGRAPHY LOGO DESIGN.
Now you have to think who uses this type of log/service?
Take PHOTOGRAPHER, so if you want to go further, the main keyword for your gig will be CALLIGRAPHY LOGO DESIGN FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS.
Now you type this keyword and search in Fiverr and you will see that there is only 1 page gig.
So your competition has reduced from lakhs to only 30/40 hours now.
Your job now is to optimize the image and title of the gig and make sure your gig is visible to the buyer.
And if you optimize the gig description well, your gig will continue to rank in other sub categories.
Fulfill a few orders from some of the less competitive gigs in the first month, then read gig reviews, you’ll also customize the description of your gig for sub-categories.
Then you too will once again compete with Fiverr’s BIG FISH.
